Ivanka is a Bulgarian-American poet, author, content creator, and finance manager. She writes both fiction and non-fiction for children and adults, exploring themes on personal growth, identity, heritage, family, nature, and history.
She is a mother and a wife, with a multi-national, multi-racial, multi-cultural, and multi-lingual lovely blended family she wouldn’t trade for the world.

Ivanka is a children’s book author and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She writes fiction and non-fiction picture books in both rhyme and prose.
For adults, Ivanka writes cozy mysteries and women’s fiction. She is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Women’s National Book Association, Jane Austen Society of North America, and Jane Austen Literacy Foundation.

02. Tea
Hot cream afternoon tea is my guilty pleasure and my go-to drink. I love a good tearoom and prefer herbal teas.
04. Tinsel & Rocky
Tinsel and Rocky are my loyal companions and always by my side as I read or write. I’d argue they love books almost as much as I do.
06. Libraries & Ancient History
Visiting The Library of Celsus in the Ancient City of Ephesus was a dream come true. built 114 – 117 AD and the third largest library of the Greco-Roman world, this is just one of the many ancient ruins I’d love to visit again and again.
08. Things That Make Me Smile
So so many, among which my family, favorite songs that make me feel like a teen again, and The Golden Girls, of course.

Books have been my constant companion, escape, and inspiration for as long as I can remember. They are my go to and a source of joy still.
03. Horses
I love horses. There’s something majestic about them. Their strength, beauty, and elegance on one hand, paired with their loyalty and intelligence on the other, make these magnificent creatures truly inspirational.

I love exploring the world and finding inspiring places to write about. I’ve called three countries home and have visited many more.
07. Nature & Wildlife
Growing up in a mountain village in the Balkans, nature has been a part of my upbringing. I love the oceans, don’t get me wrong, but the mountains, hills, and as it seems, the jungles are where my heart is.

I don’t remember the first book I read, nor the day I fell in love with the written word, but I can’t remember a time when books were not a part of my life either.
I could spend hours in libraries, modern and ancient alike, as well as bookstores. I love organizing my excessive book collection and treat all my books like the treasures they are.
